What We're Doing

Fresh Passion India has been doing some big picture thinking when it comes to health care for India.

  • Our health subcommittee has written a training manual for the village health care workers, women who will provide care to the Dalit Education Center students, their families, and the community.
  • We are helping to underwrite the salaries of two health care workers at Chapel-funded DECs and to fund the startup of medical clinics at two of these schools.
  • We have also funded the salary of an India-based project manager for health care who will be responsible for planning and implementing a health care delivery system throughout the first 100 DEC schools.
  • Health care professionals from The Chapel have visited India to provide basic health education and conduct free medical and dental clinics for Dalit families.

How You Can Help: Work right here or join a short-term medical team in India

  • Physicians, dentists, nurses, paramedics and others with medical training are needed.
  • Administrators, clerical people and other volunteers are needed in a variety of roles to support the medical teams both here and in India.
  • No medical training is required, just an open heart to serve the Lord in this way.
  • Medical teams travel to India every March and October.
