Fresh Passion: India is a partnership of The Chapel, Akron, OH and the Dalit Freedom Network
SERVING WITH THE DALIT

More than 250 million people live outside the caste system in India today. Known as Dalits, literally "supressed, oppressed or crushed people," they have been treated, for 3,000 years, as "untouchables" without many of the basic human rights that Americans take for granted. For them, exclusion, discrimination, and physical abuse are a way of life.
Fresh Passion India exists to help them find a way out of their poverty, oppression and despair. We serve them by offering our time, our resources, our gifts and our professional expertise.
